Therapeutic Recreation of Nebraska (TRON)

Research has shown that TR interventions can be used to decrease inappropriate behaviors, improve social skills, and improve academic skills. We will attend IEPs with you and establish goals, plans and services which will help your child in school.

Some children have difficulties interacting appropriately with other children or playing with a variety of toys. Our play skills instruction takes place 1:1 or in group settings.

We will arrange play groups for your children at your home or another location. We will facilitate games and other activities that are entertaining and provide opportunities for socialization.

We provide the art supplies and a place to gather with friends. Come participate in the latest stress reducing trends including: adult coloring books and mandalas.

Do you want to participate in swimming, golf, tennis, or any other sport but do not know your options. We will help you find a team and/or help you develop your skills for participation. We have worked with athletes who have participated in special olympics, senior games, and wheelchair sports in the past.

In these courses we provide 1:1 instruction in cooking, fitness, nutrition, time management, stress management, and money management.

We help people participate in existing recreation and leisure programs within the community. We will accompany individuals to swim lessons, karate classes, art classes, etc and help you or your loved one successfully participate in these programs.

We help clients identify and access resources in the community. We help people learn to utlize public transportation and access goods and services in shopping malls, community recreation facilities, libraries, etc.
